Opened in 2015, Surf Snowdonia houses the world’s first commercial artificial surfing lake. Using a wave machine, the lake allows surfers of all abilities to get on their boards and ride the waves below a stunning mountainous setting. Since opening, Surf Snowdonia has quickly established itself as a go to destination for surfing—hosting the UK Pro Surf Tour in October 2016.

Now the venue will host its first ever music festival this summer, and it promises to be big.
Electric Wave Fesival
The Electric Wave Festival will take place from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 July. The venue says to “expect a bit of everything from reggae to indie and electronic music.” Top club promoters Cream and Happy Mondays’ Bez are to headline the festival which will also include sets from General Levy and DJ Yoda and live music from Showhawk Duo, former Stone Roses guitarist Aziz Ibrahim, Andy Joyce and Calfari.
As well as the music, the festival will feature a whole range of family-friendly activities including: a climbing wall, a silent disco, a skate ramp, slacklining and their famous Crash & Splash Lagoon.
Festival goers can camp at the venue or opt for one of their exclusive VIP Glamping Pods which comes with full access to hot tubs, a sauna and showers.
