Antarctic Condition 1 Storm

This is what a condition 1 storm looks like in Antarctica. Temperatures drop below -60°C (-76°F), visibility is massively reduced to around 30m (or 0m in the video) and wind speeds push 60mph.

In the video, Christine Powell opens the front door to the McMurdo station, though it looks more like the door to a deep freezer! A condition 1 storm awaits forcing more snow and ice into the base entrance. Not surprisingly, no one is allowed outside during these storms.
