Nature is an constant source of inspiration and great wildlife photos, that capture this inspiration, are taken daily. Fantastic results can be achieved regardless of whether you are armed with a point and shoot or SLR, but truly capture that single awe-inspiring moment you need a bit of luck and be in the right place at the right time. While this usually requires being extremely patient, these photographs captured by the finalists of the 2014 Photographer of the Year contest, put on by London’s Natural History Museum and the BBC, are the results of people being in the best place at the best time. To achieve that, these guys have sat in hides and boats for hours on end, in all weather conditions, requiring an endless supply of hope, faith, and inspiration. What they have captured though will blow you away, I mean, AWESOME!
