Back in 2017, Youtuber and mountain biker Seth (from Seth’s Bike Hacks), began work on building a tiny trail system in his backyard.
The quarter-acre, overgrown and steeply sloped plot was the last place you would think of building a mountain bike trail. But, over the last two years, Seth and his bike buddies have turned the backyard jungle into a bespoke mountain biking playground.
Starting life as a hastily dug single track trail, with a steep descent leading into a sharp berm at the bottom (to prevent you taking a dip in the creek), Berm Creek has grown into a maxed-out mountain biking mecca.

Over time, Seth has added a north shore drop at the start of the trail (aptly named the Drama Drop), a custom-built seating area for spectators (that doubles as a second drop) and two jump lines to match.
In this latest video, Seth announced that he’s moving house, so needs to turn Berm Creek back into a normal backyard before putting it on the market. But, before doing so, he had to give this labour-of-love a fitting send-off and add one final feature—a janky wall ride.
