Action sports YouTube filmmaker Danny Strasser is famous for his high-speed videos. From longboarding and inline skating down a bobsled track to rock skiing (skiing down a rocky ski slope in summer) — Strasser cinematically (I just invented that word) captures extreme sports athletes and inventors pushing boundaries and generally doing gnarly stuff.
His RollerMan video (watch below), where he recorded body blading inventor Jean-Yves Blondeau take his Roller Suit for a spin in the French Alps was a big hit. His most recent video shows Blondeau in an adapted Roller Suit made for carving ski runs rather than roads—say hello to the ‘Ski Suit’.
Body blading (also known as buggy rollin‘) involves descending down a slope while wearing a flexible aerodynamic plastic roller suit that has wheels on the feet, knees, torso, and arms. To create the Ski Suit, Blondeau had to replace every set of wheels with specially contoured skis. The results are epic—what a blast!
